Gillette hefur verið staðið að því að fela RFID eftilits örflögu í pökkum rakvéla og rakvélablaða. 

Þessi hátækni njósnaflaga er notuð til þess að taka ljósmyndir af viðskiftavinunum án þeirra vitundar.!

 

Eftirlitskerfið notar nema sem eru faldir undir hillum Gillette til þess að nema þegar vara er tekin upp.

 

 Í hvert skifti sem að kaupandi tekur upp pakka af rakvélablöðum úr njósnahillunum er smellt af!

Þá tekur falin myndavél nærmynd af andliti viðskiftavinarins.

( Annarri mynd er smellt af þegar þú kemur að kassanum til þess að fullvissa sig um að borgað sé fyrir vöruna.)

Flett var ofan af Gillette í Englandi, en það er talið mjög líklegt að það sé búið að vera að nota þetta system víðsvegar um Bandaríkin og í öðrum löndum.

Gillette njósnahillurnar  og faldi myndavélarbúnaðurinn var hannaður af the MIT Auto-ID Center,á þeim tíma sem Gillette VP Dick Cantwell var yfir alþjóðadeildinni.

Þessi samtök hafa framleitt skjöl, ljósmyndir og video ætluð  til kynningar við það að koma á framfæri „ smart shelves“ ( gáfuðu hillunum) sem taka leynilegar ljósmyndir af viðskiftavinunum.
